Course/Workshop Proposal 2012
To have your program considered for approval as part of Spiritual Directions Centre’s course and workshop calendar, please submit the following information to admin@spiritualdirections.com or by mail to The Executive Director, Spiritual Directions Centre (Calgary) 1407 10 St. SW, Calgary, AB, T2R 1E7.

* Deadline for submissions for the Winter / Spring 2012 (January through April) courses and workshops calendar is October 31, 2011.

1. Name, credentials and contact information. Include address, e-mail and phone number(s)

2. Course / Workshop title. 



3. Learning goals and objectives.





4. Target audience.




5 a. Full Description: Please include an outline of this course/workshop, and in point form, describe what methods will be used to convey the material and what the participants will come away with or learn (attach file if applicable).





5 b. Short Description: Please provide an 18-20 word description of the course / workshop as an example for an events listing in the following format:




6. Dates and times: First and second choice and please include whether you will offer this program more thatn one time this term.




7. Cost: Suggested registration fee and estimation of your expected revenue (please include minimum and maximum number of students).





8. Handouts/Learning materials you will provide to participants (please list and include if available).





9. Have you previously offered this program? If so, where, when, how often? If you have previously advertised this program, please include advertisement. What were the results?



10. Biography of Facilitator(s). Please include why you are especially qualified or gifted to offer this material.



11. When applicable, Spiritual Directions will produce brochures and posters for the accepted programs. You are invited to supply a copy of a suggested brochure/poster in word format for us to work with. Will supply a copy – Yes / No. (circle or delete one and provide any comments)

NEW for January to April 2012

1. Proposal Deadlines
We are implementing a more formal trimester plan, so beginning in 2012, proposals will be due approximately FOUR months prior to each of the three terms:

a. WINTER-SPRING – January through April - proposals due August 31.
b. SUMMER – May through August - proposals due January 2.
c. FALL-WINTER – September through December - proposals due April 30.

2. Sponsored Seats
We would like to create a system that allows our associates to learn from each other, and have a greater understanding of what is collectively offered here at the Centre. We would like to know if you would you be willing to offer one seat to a Spiritual Directions Associate without charge?

Where time/cause permits, we would like to be able promote our Centre by placing persons of interest in our courses/workshops. Would you be willing to offer a free seat for any networking/sales possibility we might be able to create?

And if someone in our community cannot afford your course or workshop (some of our students/clients are low income and/or on AISH) would you be willing to include for free someone from this group?

Note: Any free seats will be counted after your minimum number of students and we will not turn away any paying students for free ones.
