| Healing Our Losses This 4 week structured, closed group provides an opportunity to honour the memories related to passages in your life: career changes, financial crises, loss of health or ability, loss of a loved one, and uses art experiences to initiate a healing process. The group dynamic of Healing our Losses offers insight, companionship and authentic response to the unspeakable pain of the grieving process. Different aspects of grieving will be addressed, each on a separate evening. Learn the key tasks of grief and the common avoidance patterns witnessed in grieving. Become familiar with the non-sequential manner of the grieving process as it unfolds in the art-making process. This group breaks down unproductive myths such a "time heals". This process is about creative exploration not art product. No previous experience is required, simply a need to give visual expression to memories and experiences by tapping into your creativity. Tumbra, a therapy dog, will be present. | Kindred Spirits:Grieving the Loss of a Pet This heart-felt evening provides both peer support and professional help in expressing your feelings, whether you are anticipating or coping with the sorrow of pet loss. You will gather with other ndividuals and families and share stories about your animal companions in a safe and confidential environment. No artwork is involved in this process. | Stepping Stones - Find the Celebrations in the midst of loss Allow yourself an opportunity to honour the memories related to passages in your life: losing a loved one, moving to a new city, changing employment, enduring an illness, loss of a dream, children leaving home, etc. Healing past hurts will give you new energy for your future. Experience various creative techniques to access deeper meanings in working through the journey of grief in a non-judgmental, supportive, sensitive and beneficial manner. Each session addresses a different theme surrounding transition. There will be opportunities for discussion; however, if you find words too difficult to share, your silent journey will be honoured. Stepping Stones can also be for those wanting ongoing support after or before Healing our Losses, and/or needing daytime sessions while working through all types of transition. Through assessment, evaluation and treatment of the chakra system, you can change your relationships by altering your old energetic patterns. In this workshop you will explore family energy patterns and learn to change them through energetic interventions.
