Gifts of Personality and Spirituality NEW

Discover how your natural gifts of personality and spirituality work best in your pursuit of greater meaning and purpose in all areas of your life. Through an exploration of personality type using the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and a close look at spiritual gifts, participants will gain clarity about relationships, work life, and service opportunities. This is for people who already have some knowledge about personality type and have been introduced to the MBTI. It is also appropriate for those new to personality type, but these participants will need to complete the MBTI assessment prior to the program. Medicine Wheel Experience NEW

An Introduction to the medicine wheel. Sacred Drum Making Workshop

Using a sharing circle and vision work to begin the session in harmonious state, build your personal sacred drum and rattle in this two day workshop. Some people like to bring a favorite stick for the drum and rattle, or willow and antlers will be provided. Saturday, 9 am to 3 pm; Sunday, 9 am to 1 pm. Dates will be decided when enough people have registered to justified Dory's journey from BC. Stepping Stones

Find the Celebrations in the midst of loss

Allow yourself an opportunity to honour the memories related to passages in your life: losing a loved one, moving to a new city, changing employment, enduring an illness, loss of a dream, children leaving home, etc. Healing past hurts will give you new energy for your future. Experience various creative techniques to access deeper meanings in working through the journey of grief in a non-judgmental, supportive, sensitive and beneficial manner. Learn the key tasks of grief and the common avoidance patterns witnessed in grieving. Become familiar with the non-sequential manner of the grieving process as it unfolds in the art-making process. There will be opportunities for discussion. For those who find words too difficult to share, their silent journey will be honoured. Advanced Development of Healers Series NEW

Imaginal Trackerstm is an arts-based ecological and spiritual program of study and training for personal healing and professional development. Imaginal Tracking refers to the skills required to follow the track of our inner nature as reflected in outer nature. Studio Sequence II This program covers the nature and psychological structure of visual media, image, sound, movement, and ritual. It also addresses methods of engagement and forms of deep listening to the messages and meanings of imagery. This is the only advanced course and requires that 4 other courses be taken first. It includes group process and ethical practices as well as advanced use and understanding of art materials. (It may be taken by health care professionals such as psychologists, social workers, nurses, pastoral counsellors, etc. without having prior ITI courses.) Art Therapy and Bereavement There are four rivers to the experience and expression of grief; physical, mental, social and spiritual. This course guides the participant down each of these tributaries through the therapeutic application of the arts, metaphoric language, and theories of death and dying. We will also address those losses that are devalued such as the loss of an animal companion. World Soul: Art, Nature and Wonder (Five day residential intensive) World soul is an art and healing residential retreat, an opportunity for personal creative immersion in a serene natural location. It is a multicultural exploration of our deep relationship and belonging to the Earth and all of her inhabitants. The field of eco-psychology will be the primary philosophical structure used to track our understanding of the ecological dimensions of the human personality. Eco-psychology embraces many of the world's ancient traditions including Native American/First Nations, Celtic and medieval mysticism of Hildegarde of Bingen as well as recent research in biology and cognitive psychology. Drawing from this deep and rich wellspring coupled with direct experience in nature we will address issues related to our sense of self, consciousness and expanding our senses through alignment with our animal teachers. Imagery In Health and Healing: An Introduction to the Arts in Therapy A dynamic introduction to the arts in healing that begins with the ancient and multi-cultural role of ritual, mythology and shamanic thought. From this historical foundation we move into present day psychological theories and practices with special attention given to spiritual and ecological perspectives. Hands-on work in art media will be used consistently throughout the course to deepen our understanding of the various perspectives presented. Animal Assisted Healing and the Expressive Arts as Therapy

An original and unique program of study and training that combines the wisdom and compassion of animals (equine and canine) with the expressive arts for health and wellness. Art, Aging and Spirituality The experience of aging is an act of imagination. How have you been imagining growing old? Our images form a blueprint that our bodies naturally follow. In our culture aging has been imagined in a very narrow and devalued way. This course will provide the participant with an opportunity to explore their inner images and ideas of aging in a playful and profound way through the arts. The course will include rich real life examples and detailed guidance on the healing role of the arts. Participants will recognize and reshape old age blueprints and expand our collective vision of growing old through the wisdom of nature, the beauty of art and the many spiritual traditions of the world. Restoration of the Soul: An Introduction to the Arts and Spirituality Discover, renew and celebrate the depths of being called “soul” through the forgotten language of art, symbol and ritual. Using a variety of art forms and materials, participants will examine issues surrounding the meaning and experience of soul. Today, the capacity for the arts to heal and guide at a deep spiritual level have been minimized and made peripheral. In this program of study creativity is considered a core attribute of our spiritual identity with the imagination being our greatest gift. Ethical Leadership: Group and Community Dynamics This course provides individuals with the knowledge required to respectfully bring the tools of the Imaginal Tracking experience to their community, organization, workplace or group. This program draws from a synthesis of indigenous wisdom, psychological theory on group dynamics and corporate innovations in team building and creative leadership. It is specifically focused on group process in relationship to creative work.
